Yep, it sucked ass and I was extremely depressed over it.
Don't you just love how Honda uses innovation to go against the grain of the norm? Like how my RC45 was a V4, when everyone in town was saying a V configuration wasn't as effective as say an inline 4 and how the V config has seen the last of it's days, Honda puts out the meanest/craziest/fastest limited production superbike with a V. How they used to have a motto that went, "turbo charger smorbocharger". Or something to that effect. I just love how Honda talks shit and backs it up. Just like you said, it's their engineering philosophy I'm always drawn to. Same goes for the Bimmers. I remember when I was a teenager I'd stare at the VTEC motor for hours just because I knew what sort of innovative technology was inside of it. Same goes for my bikes. I'd remove the fairings and go nekkid just so that I could see the motor.

Wow, what an awsome commercial. It's, umm... sort of moving. For a lack of a better description.
Oh yeah, I'm sure we're both in the G because Honda/Acura doesn't make anything equivalent in the category. I was once close to leasing a NSX. They had this incredible deal. If I recall correctly, it was $2500 down and $750 a month + taxes. You only got like 7500 miles per year and it was a 3 year lease. For what was a $95K car that deal couldn't be beat. I was about to sign the docs but the Bimmer dealer called back saying that they would replace the entire motor in my M3. So I walked out of there.
Oh if I had a nickle for every time I wished Honda/Acura would make a sports car with some emotion/pep/kick/fill in the blank here. I'd have bought it a million times. If there such a thing as a Benzo/Bimmer feel/quality, then in my opinion there's definitely a Honda/Acura "feel" to their cars. That's something I love about them. The only Japanese car company that comes close to having that feel is Toyota/Lexus. Regretably, the Infiniti doesn't seem to have it.

Why in the world would you consider a Bimmer snobbish GZ? I don't get it? Especially when there are tons of other makes that you could consider snobbish. It may because I live in the car capital of world, but I've never felt that a Bimmer is anything near snobbish, especailly because Bimmers are what 16 years get here when they get their license. Now a Porche at 16, that's snobbish.

Down here the bimmer is more a status symbol. People put themselves up on pedestal because they own one. It's a I have a bimmer therefore I'm better than you thing. Maybe it's different up there, but that's what it's like down here. It pisses me off. Rant is over.............
I don't get that same vibe off of Mercedes or Porsche owners. Ferarri's are so damned rare that it's hard to tell, but my quick convo with a Modena led me to believe that he was a lucky (to own a Modena) and nice guy.

Yeah, unfortunately, it's completely different down here in LA. It all depends where you go here in LA, but in most places there are so many "bling" cars out there it's hard to feel snobby with anything but a Lambo or a Ferrari. My brother tells me of how he is made to feel like "crap" when he goes somewhere in his S55 AMG.
If I ever get a chance I'll take pics of my cousin's Murc and his Modena someday and post them up. Compliments of him being in the garment industry for the past 15 years. He actually has a cafe/bar called Modena too, which he just recently purchased here in LA. Some people seem to be magnets for money. I wish I had that problem.

He's an older cousin and I don't see him very often. After he made his millions he decided to form his own family. Hardly see him at family reunions anymore. He has a huge pad in the Palos Verdes Estates that I've been to visit twice and he's let us into his warehouse he calls his garage. We sat in and reved them up, but negative on the test drive. He's a butthead. His cafe/bar is in Korea town here in LA and I sometimes end up there. If he's there he's got his Modena parked outside. Of course, right? He did name the place Modena. If I see him I'll make sure to snap some pics on my phone and post.

Honda doesn't have enough torque and bimmers are for the snobbish.
True from a car vs. car stand point and a function of displacement size. If you compare on a liter vs. liter basis, that's not quite the case any more. Horsepower is in fact more important than torque (which is not a measure of work). Need more oomph? Down shift.
I know what you mean by the bimmer snobs, but you can't deny the fact they are the ultimate driving machine.

Assuming that you want to or can run in the optimal power band. You might get some funny looks sitting at the light next to the nice police officer running your engine at 4,500 rpms. No doubt up top Hondas are great, but lack the fun kick in the lower rpm range.
