Damn Phelan! You're very lucky. There's about a thousand things that could of gone wrong in your spin out that didn't seem to happen!
Yeah, +1 with regards to this happening when you come out of church. Although I personally am not a relgious man, I know my ass would of been praying to everyone of them upstairs to walk away like you did and still have my G relatively unscathed.
Gamma: I was on my way to church, if I'd been on the way home things would have been worse if I went off the east side as that'd have put me into oncoming traffic.

Was your last spin out with the same tires? Now I'm beginning to wonder if mines were due to tires or my speed. Mines occurred when it was raining...I was going about 45mph..then it just poured...and I couldn't see ahead so I stepped on my brakes (not hard) but that was how I ended up hydroplaning... BUT it may have been my tires....
The rears are the same, the fronts were replaced by Infiniti at 7K due to excessive and unusual wear about 2K after the first spin.

I wasn't terribly fond of the Eagle RS-As that came on my sedan. They got me through the winter in Michigan, but the rain traction was pretty bad once they had some wear on them and I got out to CA.
Get some better tires and enjoy the increased traction =) Make sure you've got some deep tread on the tires (especially the rears) for the wet or snowy season.
Wow...that's some good luck...my friend had something similar happen to him in his G when it was raining pretty badly, I met him out at the scene and couldn't believe there wasn't a scratch on his ride...then as we were out there a Cement Truck hit the center barrier on the other side of the freeway and did 2 full rotations knocking a 6' by 5' hole in the barrier and sending the concrete wall into oncoming traffic, all this happened while we were standing on the emergency lane waiting on a tow truck for my friend. That was some scary shit...
In front of him is a ditch about 4' deep and behind his car was the guardrail that he missed by about 2'.
To the right is the hole that he created.
Where the guy is on the right is where we were standing when the truck hit.
People, we need to remember that we for the most part have maximum performance dry tires. When the temperatures cool, when it rains, or when the tread is worn down the performance of the tire goes down dramatically.
