Well from what I read Ferrari is suppose to field 3 cars for next year. That is the rumor but it remains to be seen.

You did imho.

With signing of Kimi imminent (at least so it seems), there's increasing pressure for Michael to tmake an decision he was probably not ready to make just yet. Michael knows well it would not be in his favor or preference to have Kimi in a team that believes in only one driver. He (Michael) may not lack any of the skills or experience to take that #1 spot, but the lack of youth (viability for the long term investment) is a far more influential game stopper.

I have heard of the 3 car team rumor for next year. It'd be a long shot imo, but you never know. This is after all F1.

I think Michael will retire.

i think someone as famed and furnished as michael schumacher has been, perhaps second to only lance armstrong as the single biggest figure in their respective sports, i just dont see him going out as anything but champion. just my opinion..

Anyone think there's a remote possibility that Michael might go to another team if forced out? Say maybe Mercedes or Renault? (Yes I know they have drivers under contract, but it is Michael after all)

Not likely. Here's why ...

1. Renault has already announced their two drivers for next year.
2. McLaren does have a seat open as we speak, but like the Kimi delima @ Ferrari ... it's not to his advantage to team up with Alonso.
3. There are simply no other teams to consider because non of them will have a champion contention ride to offer (they suck).

Well ... it's official.

Michael is out and Kimi is in. No surprises there really.

i am still shocked how everything went about in the press conference, i didnt think he was going to retire. but as he did his final lap around monza, he did pause at a couple of spots in an awkward way, i guess it was his farewell bid so i guess that kind've gave it away.

It's really friken odd how he retired. Why only announce with so few races left?

OMG, I was so pissed that Alonso's motor blew. Man he worked so hard to get back on podium and when he was right there, his motor blows. THAT BLOWS!!! Now MS has a chance to win the championship right before he retires. BS!

Oh yeah, what do you all feel about what they did with Alonso after qualifying. I hate to say it but it seemed like a setup, although I don't believe it was.

This is bad, but I think when the Renault crew blew the win by not placing the wheel nut on properly several races ago..........now that's worse.

I didn't see the incident, but the punishment is consistent to what happened when both Alonso and Michael were meeted out punishment several races ago.
