ok, so there was 4 of us going to SF...we were nicknamed "The WILD Bunch" by the rest of our friends because we are the 4 wildest girls. Anyhow, one of my babygirl is as smart as a doorknob when it comes to directions....she gets lost all the time. It's cute at first but after a while you start to wonder... LOL.
Anyhow, I was gonna drive the first shift to SF, but she insisted on driving so she can sleep later.... I looked at the map and saw that she would have to be on the 5 North for almost 300miles and she only had almost 1/2 tank left- SO I figured she'd be OK. Told her "Just stay straight on the 5 all the way, when you're close to empty- just pull over for gas and we'll switch off."
I fell asleep...confident she'll be okay; also one of the other girl is in the front with her.. Nothing could go wrong. Well about 45 mins later, I woke up because she stopped for gas. She was really excited- saying she even went to 100mph at some points- just couldn't wait to get to SF. My other offered to drive instead and have me drive into SF instead so we were all ready to get back on the freeway...only we couldn't find the 5... all we saw was the 99 !!! Right then she said "Don't tell me I got us lost!" LOL... and I'm thinking ...how could she have gotten lost, she was suppose to be on the 5 for at least 300 miles !!!
So then I opened up the map... and sure enough.. there's a point where the 5 and the 99 splits off. She kept going on the 99 !!! We had to backtracked to the 5... another 35 mins!!!
When we saw where she took the wrong freeway ( 99 was straight while the 5 curved ) she tried to defend her action by saying "You guys told me to go STRAIGHT...you didn't tell me the freeway was gonna curve!!!" I laughed so hard I cried... she litterally went "straight" So after that, she was not allowed to drive anymore- even though it was her car!

My friends and I did the same drive. Rental car, no map, & no compass. I was squeezing ass because my friend needs to drive the entire way. My other friend in the front who is supposed to be the navigator (because that's the damned rules when you sit in the front) is frikken asleep.
So we got to know Castroville (artichoke capitol of the world!!!).

This ^^^ reminds me of my fiancee. She's really smart, probably smarter than me in many cases . . . even graduated summa cum laude from Law School. But ask her which way South, North, or West is and you'll get a blank stare Her lack of direction is the single reason I got her a Garmin GPS for Xmas. Best $700 I ever spent.

When i was in Philly i was trying to get to the Galleria Mall from the airport & ended up in Jersey, then Delaware... finally got to the mall as soon as it closed!!
Uhhh, there's no vibrating feature on the thing and it doesn't serve as a compact mirror . . . I suppose if an attacker approached her she could swing it by the cord like David vs. Goliath and deck the dude cold with it....
