Pretty much like shit. I know because I remember experiencing it during the LA riots. When the police flew to protect Beverly Hills and the affluent parts of LA all the while leaving the rest of the city burn and be looted. I also remember as they stood not 30 feet away as people commited countless crimes. I remember how they would roll in in force to confiscate our weapons but not do anything to help protect ourselves. Their excuse was that they didn't have the man power to stop all the crimes. No, just in the good parts of the city. So, I for one can say I know exactly how it feels.

Now to more serious issues. Leaders set examples and those subordinate to them follow. The idiot we call a presdient already set a precendence when he failed to protect this nation from all enemies foreign and domestic. What's worse is the he fails at his job, doesn't take the blame for it and we still re-elect him into office. So why blame anyone else for not taking the blame for anything when the chief officer of our land won't do the same? We've already signed on for the part two, so buckle up, prepare to get ass raped, hope for the best and help out individually when you can. Other than that what is there that anyone can do about the miserable state of affairs that our nation now finds itself in?

Saw the 2nd part of Spike Lee's Katrina Documentary (missed the first 2 hour installment) on HBO this last week. It's pretty powerful and the saddest thing is how we've all moved on as a nation, how we've got other things occupying our consiousnous now and those people are feeling totally abandoned.

The first 2 hours got me sooo mad. See the first two acts when you get a chance. I missed the second 2 installments.
