Yes part I and II are out there. I wasn't sure when Id put this one up but...
Its become a real issue, least for me. Everyone else might disagree but it might just be me and if so "oh well." It just bothers the hell out of me. I jus want to display my possibly p.o.v.
There are 2 other black Gs around my neighborhood and 1 Just like mine but an 06 and no wing. Drives up the street every once and a while and I hate it...
The last straw was when I noticed a Hispanic guy, around my age, with the same exact G (yet no wing again) while making a left turn. We jus stared at each other... as I slowly turned and slowly shook my head_
I guess it might be cuz I was raised in SoCal that I might feel like this. NO I DONT need to be the only one on the block with a certain thing, certain vehicle.
but thing is--- Anything that becomes TOO COMMON loses its appeal. When you see it everywhere, its not so 'special' anymore.
Not that I dont love the G but I jus cant stand it becoming an everyday, my friend has one, will get one, type of vehicle. YES any car can seem common depending on where you live but Ive always had this thing...
Ambition
And I am continually driven to improve my situation in whichever way possible_
Still, I certainly won't mod_ I just dont like seeing what Ive worked so hard for in other ppls (and others) hands who I know didnt do half as much as I needed to......

^^^if you rotated your pic above, it would look decent.
Secondly, the G is highly popular in SoCal. Especially the black and DG G. Everywhere I turn you see one. Either get used to that fact and appreciate that you have a 6mt, or mod your G to be different, or sell your G and get a Ford GT, a Carrera GT or an Enzo.
This is Southern California man, a car maker's dream. Weather is good, designs are ambitious and we have lots of freeways. Car culture here is entirely different from anywhere else. Of course you're gonna see lots of G's. What can you do?
It would be difficult to find a nice affordable car that wouldnt become common...

Like it or not, we drive production cars - it's not an Exotic for goodness sake. There have been over a quarter million G's sold in North America, almost 100,000 of which are coupes. Coupes are selling at a rate of appx. 2500 a month. Most of these will be easy to bump into in major metropolitan areas, esp. So. Cal.
So, enjoy a GREAT production car, but a production car nonetheless.

You're not going to get an uncommon car for $35,000. As long as you're in a car that's affordable to the masses, there will be others around. Just enjoy yours and be happy you're not in the Sonata next to you.
Maybe you should think about going old school if you really want to be different. look into a 67 Chevelle or a 69 mustang or something along that line. For the same price, or less, then your G, you can get a superior muscle car and almost gurantee yourself you won't see one in your neighborhood.

well you guys have explained why it is common, easy to understand and note...
I am just mentioning what I know most ppl on a forum wont be bothered by..
Yet I dont see how you can disagree that when something becomes THAT typical, it loses some of its appeal_

Not all of us are buying things to be different, or to impress any one else. If you're happy with the car, then no matter how common it is, you still love everything about it. Look at Mustang freaks. There's millions of them on the road and yet they show up at every meet with their stock GT just as proud of it as the guy next to them with the GT500. Just depends on what you're in it for. To me the G is a great car and I love it, but certaintly nothing I would have bought if I was out to impress any one by it.

Im also not out to impress anyone.. Its more like a pet-peeve I have, dont want someone with the same shoes, the same look but naw I dont have to STAND OUT like crazy either.
I cant think of a good supporting example or situation or whatever, dunno if anyone will understand the pt I attempt to get across...

I understand the point you're trying to get across. It's just impossible to avoid this in a car I guess is what every one is trying to say. Or at least what I'm trying to say. With nearly everything else there are always other options that people don't know about. With cars, unfotunately every one knows about all of the production cars. Just customize it a little to make it just that much different. So next time you drive past the guy with the same car he's looking at yours saying damn, there's something just a little different about that car but I can't figure out what it is.

True.. one can always upgrade yet depending on your area, it might still be common.. we'll see_

I like my car that's why I bought it. It had nothing to do with who has it or who is going to get it. I look when I see them drive by. It doesn't bother me to see them.

I didn't particularly like it when I saw a couple around town the first year...especially automatics with other women driving made my lip curl up a little...then a black coupe 2005 moved into my apt. complex...
Grr...I saw it completely on accident one day parked in an adjacent lot and got instantly territorial. Like something snapped in my mind and I couldn't figure out what to do...it had invaded my space and didn't have brembos and was newer and wasn't a six speed. I figured I would go start some shit or something. Then I met dude, he was cool and when I saw him around town I would always wave. I think he moved away this spring or bought a new car, I never see him around. Oddly it made me sad when the other one went away...
bye Markus...for an older black dude with kids and an automagic slushbox, you were still kind of cute.
