I love hole in the wall places. I love family restaurants. I like going to a place and seeing the server there, the same one you saw there 20 years ago. I know a place in downtown L.A. that have servers working there 40 or 50 some odd years.

And I like knowing that the place is local and perhaps a dive. I don't care about that, but I absolutely hate chains.

yea i went to this pretty good japanese restaurant when i was in L.A. its on sunset blvd...dont really remember the name but it wasnt too far from the street with the stars on it
