there is no point talking to them because they are so set in with their princibles. Its not instransigency, its just how they were brought up. Its innate. I just try my best and avoid such topics when my friends are near my parents.

Argument is somewhat useless in our house. Noone ever "wins" and it just builds tension around us. So we just mind our own buisness now and that has been working very well for the past few years.

I would start hell in that household.. if I was already in a terrible mood...
