Default The dirtiest football players..................

As inspired by the "beanie bomb...." thread, this thread is dedicated to the dirtiest football players. We will consider both the living and the dead. This is not limited to the NFL, Canadian, NCAA leagues, it's anyone playing football.

Pictures are not mandatory, but are appreciated.

Watch the opening game of the 1975 (or '76) season when the Steelers come to Oakland for the season opener. You'll see Dr. Death, George Atkinson, watch Lynn Swann like a hawk. The play is a running play and Lynn is not even in the field of play, but what does George do? He comes up right behind him with a forearm to the back of the head and levels him and moves on like nothing happened. It was like a hitman wacking somebody in broad daylight. Lynn just laid there flat on the dirt.

Then there was the holly roller in San Diego where the Raiders threw the ball forward to avoid the sack and then kicked it forwards and subsequently land on it in the end zone to win the game with no time left in the game.

Other names that are dirty:

Bill Romonowski
Jack Tatum
Warren Sapp
The Dever Broncos defensive line and their god damn cut blocking which might take somebody's knee out.

There's plenty more, I just can't remember at the moment. God damn do I miss football!

So I'm talking to my friend about his football coach.

The coach tells him about his experience in high school. His team is getting murdered by a down lineman. He's the typical stud and just murdering everyone in front of him, kind of like Forrest Wittaker in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. They try double teaming him, running at him, running away from him............nothing is working. So the coach is at his wits end when one of his players comes up to him. He tells the coach "I can take him out." The coach is like right.

So after getting bugged for a series, the coach lets up and puts him in. The guy lines up against the stud and before the play starts the other guy starts punching. The ref throws the D-lineman out of the game. The coach is speechless and when he finally gets a chance to talk to the player he sent in he's dumfounded.

The guy said, "Oh I spit in his face."

The tough thing is that the coach wanted the D-lineman out, his player said he could take him out, and he did exactly what he said he'd do.

Warren Sapp............now Chidi after moving from the Bucs to the Rams said this of Warren............the guy will talk shit on your grandmother.

Remember when Bill Romonowski did that? I forgot who it was against. He was a niner when he did it. I don't remember what his penalty was.

2006-Zidane Head butts an Italian in the chest for simple banter back and forth. Zidane is red carded and removed from the game where his team promptly lost. Way to be a captain, team player, and sportsman like...Good for him. I'm glad he went out with a red card only to retire.....idiot

He spit on whoever it was. The loogie was big enough to be seen from the sidelines and probably the upper deck.

You hoser we're talking about american football........and that's not dirty pool. Hell you know the English soccer guy that acts in all these movies now? Damn I've seen pics of some of the dirty stuff he's done.

The one pic that comes to mind is him grabbing and crushing some poor guy's walnuts. I mean holy crap you can see the veins bulging in his neck from the nut crushing effort.

Please, to begin with you are the one who said anyone playing football. I might be the hoser here, but I think you are the ignorant one who neglects that the rest of the world refers to soccer as "football".

Secondly, most of the fans in europe are "football" players. Have you ever been to a european premiership game? The fans do more "dirty" things than your american football players could imagine.

Finally, if head bashing a guy in the chest to take him out isn't dirty pool, then how is spitting on a guy?

Um, Gzire, you didn't specify American football and you said ANYONE playing football, so the hoser comment was probably out of line. JMO

I've heard all kinds of stories of what go down in a dog pile of "American" football. When there's a fumble and players dive at it, everything and I mean everything is grabbed so the football is released. We never see it so nobody says a thing, but I know for a fact that it happens.
