My dad's b-day is next Monday and, of course, Father's Day the day before that. I was all prepared to spend the weekend at my house with my daughter celebrating being a father, honestly, going out to visit him didn't really enter my mind. But a few days ago, I started thinking that visiting him will mean a lot more to him than staying at home will mean to me. My dad's gonna be 67 this year which is still young but who knows how many more of times I'll be able to celebrate these dates with him.

Despite not being funny, that was a good, if a bit sappy, little slide show. I am guilty of complaining about how age has affected my dad, the way he acts and thinks (cantankerous as Hell), but it was good to flip the perspective and remind us that they went through plenty of shit raising us kids.
