Hey if you're Asian it's mandatory to receive one from your future mother/father in-laws when you get hitched. Right now I've got my eyes on a Cartier Roadster, which goes for about $6 to $7K. I'm split between the black or white face. Now Cartier is an underdog as they are a tier 1/2 manufacturer (depending on model). I think Cartier's just as a good company as Rolex is, just not as popular with the regular folks. If you're looking for a "bang for the buck", check out Baume & Mercier. They are actually owned by Cartier and manufactured with the same process and attention to detail. They are relatively cheap and you'd be getting Cartier quality cheap. I think it's time for me to sign up for therapy again with all this talk to wrist watches.

went to check out the roadster today and i think you should go with the white face...classic cartier.

Sorry I missed this before. I don't remember the specifics, but from what my Annual Watch guide states some models of M/B's are tier 2 or 3. I'll try to look it up when I get home to see what I can find.

M/B's aren't usually very popular, but that doesn't mean that they're not quality time pieces. Like I said, I'm not extremely familiar with them, but from what little I've heard they are quality.

Mine is battery powered. MB has always been known for their writing instruments, but also makes high-end leather goods, watches, and accessories. I never knew about their non-pen products until a friend of mine worked for them.
