Actually SMG is lethal very lethal in certain ways. When dual wielding with the plasma rifle it kicks ass. It's good too with the plasma pistol or the magnum. If you dual wield though, it's for tight quarters only.

The old assault rifle sucked ass. Terribly inaccurate and couldn't get effective head shots. It worked great against the little guys and those creepy crawlie things on the floor. Other than that, give me the pistol and the shotgun combo.

you guys actually play halo for the quest???

i only play halo for the multiplayer action.

man i used 2 play halo for whatever! even said, i went out 2 try n get it on midnite, wit the company of fine female of course haha

i play once a month or so now, need Live again_

Where did I say I only play for the quest? I described the assault rifle from Halo 1 and described a situation I'd use it in. In Halo 1 multiplayer, I'd still prefer the Pistol/Shotgun combination. I'm not a big fan of the assault rifle in Halo 1 at all. Halo 2 is different. It's more controlled and deadly accurate.

i didnt say you ONLY play the quest. my point was, that ive never even seen the quest mode in halo.

Hmmm I wonder if that trailer was just CGI or if it was the game play footage. Well, I played the 1st Halo and the single player was great. The multiplayer wasn't that exciting to me. Well gotta play Halo 2 so I know wtf is going on.

I did the quest but now just play multi-player, usually at lunch here with a couple of other guys

Gotta give Live a try though. I'm assuming that H3 will not work on the original Xbox and will require a 360 upgrade...anyone confirm this?

God damnit Larry, if I lived in the OC, Taco Bell would be the first place I'd apply for a job!

Don't know about the latter part of your question. I don't believe that H3 will be released for the current Xbox, but it's too early to tell.

Yeah, we have two xBoxes hooked up in one of our conference rooms. ONe of them may even be hooked up to a surround system but I don't think we've ever used it. Most of the gaming actually occurs after hours since that room get's used a lot. Kinda fun, huh?

I really doubt they would have Halo 3 on the xbox. Microsoft will need to push sales of the 360, especially with the PS3 coming up.

Halo MADE the xbox, ppl would buy the console jus for that game, jus like a friend of mine. To get that type of attention/attraction for the 360, which is fabulous already, Im pretty sure they will make it solely for the 360 and perhaps PC a year or 2 from that_
