im a little ashamed of this, but ill comment anyway! i went to a lcub in south beach-wopnt say which one-and i t in fine, the club was amazing and i was having a blast. then i decide to stand nexxt to the bar to check some girls out, the bartender comes up to me and says "what do u want?" i really didnt want anything but i wa slike "what the hell, give me a vodka." shethen says "straight up?" and i said,"no with some OJ." she then askes me for some ID, im super confident since ive been there before and i show it to her, it was in my wallet in the little plastic pouch so that the holograms wouldnt be so noticible....she looked at it for like 10 min, and then handed it back, i thought i was in the clear and then shes like "take it out" i did anyway, still very confident or atleast pretending to be....she looks at it and then walks away with it, i can see like 4 bouncer looking at my Id, all of them wondering if its fake or not. the lady keeps ignoring me and after a while a bouncer comes up to me and says "follow me." me and my friend go with him-they asked for hs id after they took mine- and we go outside. WHos at the door waiting???!?!?!?!? THE COPS, 3 of them to be exact, i froze and then walked towardd them. they looked at my buddies id, and then they gave it back to him since it was real, they kept comparing my id with his, so that kinda sucked, then they took me to the side and the guy sais "tell me the thruth or ur going to jail, is this id your?" i told him it was and then he asked again. then he said "is it fake?" and i sstayed quite and then he said "jake, get the cops" so i was like "okokokok its fake" the he said "get the fuck out" and then walked away...i tried to ask him what would happend but he ignored me and then me and my friend just walked away.............he knew it was fake, no point in agruing, also the cops must have been like 3 feet away from us, so i just walked to my car as fast and as cool as i could. LESSON: get a better ID!!!!!

WOW! i dont think ive ever typed this much in my life!!!!!

You're lucky you got off easy. Must be a pretty good fake though, if they had to keep comparing it. So, you still gonna use it or are you going to take your chances?

EXACTLY, in dont need an ID to go drunk guys, anybody knows that EVERY party has alcohol, so i dont need an ID for that, what i need an Id for is to be able to get into the AWESOME clubs here in south miami beach, that the only reason why....

Looks like you should have stuck with that...I bet they never would have cared (or noticed) if you hadn't ordered that screwdriver.

I don't know how South Beach is compared to other places, but the better bars are always a bad idea to try. They have enough business that they don't specifically need yours. The also don't want to risk losing their booze license, so they tend to be very hard on Fakes. Stick to parties and shitty bars until you're 21 or unless you have an older brother that looks a lot like you.

You, maybe []
Just kidding. But to them, it's the same thing. The great big monkey men by the door can deal with drunks; they have a problem if a minor drinks at all. So they don't care if you're trying to get drunk or just socialize, they won't let you drink.

I say just wait till you're 21 or get your "socialize" on at private parties[cheers]

Man, that totally sucks. At my bar in New Orleans we are never that hard on a guy unless he is causing trouble and "swearing" that his ID is "real." I am glad that you were able to learn your lesson without any serious repercussions

I don't know about the foreign ID. Technically, they can refuse you service with it and they tend to do so readily. Vicz, I was going to mention, that maybe it isn't the ID at all that is the problem. Maybe you just look too young. Typically a sure tell is looking at somebody's eyes and hands. For some reason if a bartender sees that both of those are confident and/or "weathered" (old and been through a lot) looking, they won't question the ID. I don't know how else to explain it other than, some people just have the look and others don't. Don't feel bad though, it just means that when you are 21 you will look like you are 18 and when you are 30 you will look like you are in your mid 20s.

Okay, here it comes....I told you so...Now for compassionate side, nice to hear you did not get arrested. If the id had your information on it you might be getting a call, probably a good stern warning not to do it again.

thanx gardiner, i apreciate it. it did have my info, but it has been atleast 3-4 wees and nothing yet, so i think they just didnt care enough. rlipps i guess ur right, maybe i dont look old ebnough, but people always tell me they think im 22 or older, but other think im 15...lol. sow maybe it depends on the light, hahaha. ur also right about the ID, but here in south miami, so many people are foerigners that it be stupid of them to not allow these id in there club, they would looses ALOT of bisiness. Club Space use to have this rule, it lasted for 4 days until they changed it bacl to allow everybody in.
