I pick the blank one. Suits your color.

now with regards to your question. The purpose of a scarf is to keep your neck warm because it's cold outside. Therefore, it's supposed to be worn underneath your coat and wrapped around your neck. The only time you would wear it on top of your suit coat is if you had a trench coat, so the scar would be sandwiched.

I'd lose the scarf. If you want to be a little more pimp, get a matching handkerchief and place it in that little pocket above your heart.

it's not a matter of being "pimp", im using it to match my gf's dress which is of the same color. im not a real big fan of it either, but it'll grow on me.

you really think i need to be warm in miami?

Then I'd say less is more. You look good and I think you'd be trying too hard with the scarf, particularly in sunny Miami. Outside of the suit, the most important thing you need is the shoes. Make sure your shoes are nice. Watch is also a must have.

Lastly, the black on black combination is nice, you look good, but ever think about using a different shirt? Doesn't have to be white maybe a light sky blue instead?

i've worn sky blue before, and it would look like crap with the tie i have to use.

It's hard to judge the color on the shirt without being present, just make sure your tie stands out and is a bolder more darker color than your shirt. Still, you can get away with wearing black. If you wear white, you'll look like a Fed.

^^^^ohhh that's cold. It doesn't make him look scary, but you got something there when you say preacher.

I'm telling you the same color hankerchief in the lapel would work and be subtle enough.
