What is foie gras?

Duck liver (literally "Fat liver", but it's almost always from ducks). Most often served as a paste (pāte de foie gras). A very fine delicacy, on par with caviar and truffles.
On one episode of "Queer Eye", the food guy bought $150 worth of kosher foie gras for a Jewish guy to make for a party. Nobody liked it []
