I chose #2, but I'd look at different color schemes. I don't have my design tools here at work but maybe a differnt color scheme will compliment your logo. And like someone already said change the guys shirt color don't make it the same as the dog's fur.
I like #2 out of the 3 also. And I agree with trying to change the color of his shirt as well.
#1 is cute but there is so much detail that if the logo has to be small, it may be hard to see.
#3 isn't bad but #2 has more of a cuteness factor to it
#2 and #3 get the point across a lot better. The idea of someone taking care of your pets, someone warm and friendly.
I don't like #1, my dogs aren't cats and the idea a pet sitter is to make sure my dogs are walked, fed, and looked after so they don't cause trouble. The one thing I do like about #1 is the cursive writing. It's subliminal, but it always has a comforting, human touch to it.
Some good posts here. I think the reason #2 works so well is that it shows interaction with the animal and the man (who in this case is the care taker) gives the petowner a sense of security that "Bobo" the dog will be taken care of very well.
The key thing is show a person interacting with the pet.
The pet sitting in the chair makes me feel like the owners of the business truly have a passion for animals and reminds me of how my dog looks when hanging out.
The cursive writing adds a touch of upscale feeling to the logo.

number 2, because it is symetrical and leaves a lasting impression. The picture complements the words nicely. I believe it will be easiest for the customer to remember number two.
