Went to school with a guy who lost a leg in a grain auger (((()))) and at one party he did just that. He had such a positive attitude and never let it get him down so it brought back some funny memories. ABQ - were you ever offered an opportunity to participare in a VA's R&D program for one of the latest and greatest high-tech prosthetics? Some look damn impressive (and expensive)!
Cool, I'm glad it gave you such a coffee laugh! The only way you get through something like this is to laugh about it, learned that early on, of all the guys I was in rehab with, only one was bitter, don't know why. Even then, it still leaves some psych scars. I lost mine in an accident on deck of a ship, ever see that movie with Cuba Gooding? That scene hurt, I cringed and even groaned a little when I saw that!! The only time I was offered a different typ of leg was when they wanted me to use one with a "clip" at the end, but I couldn't use it, hurt too much. I think a lot of the Iraq amputees are getting some of the high tech prosthetics. LOL, know what they call an amputee in the pool?

Actually, I have been a pretty avid bike rider, oh there are still some problems, but have to deal with them, I've never been able to run, some muscle problems, but biking is great, just went out this afternoon for a 13 miler. I am in a spin class as well one night a week.
