Okay, okay. You guys do have a point about having too many of these, but, they are different. I'm surprised you would just can 2 of them. Is it really that much of an annoyance? Is it really that hard to ignore 3 topics? Sheesh! If anything, I would have left the MOAP and the DOAP and deleted the GOAP, which was too much like the MOAP, but that's me, and I'm not a moderator, nor do I wish to be, I just want to write long run-on sentances. I think this is all being taken way too seriously. It's nothing to get one's panties in a bunch about.
By the way, I really don't care about my post count. The rest of you are just not as cool as I am. []
Oh, and if I spoiled your bizz bashing party, I'm sorry. [V]
Well kloh I think the fact of the matter is that yes it is/was an annoyance. I am sure I do not speak alone when I say I got sick and tired of coming into the Totally Off Topic forum and see MOAP and GOAP and DOAP and like 50 pages on each. It was all cool and neat at first but then like I already said, just got old real fast. I saw them as nothing but post count adders. I still left you guys the MOAP so have at it...[]

I think there are plenty of topics here with great ideas and information which is what makes this a great community. And I certainly don't want to be a part of anything that annoys anyone. It was fun, and people participated. That's what I liked about it. But hey, if it bothers you guys, I won't post in it anymore. One would never know, given how popular they seemed to be. Truth of the matter is, if the MOAP went away too, I wouldn't really be that disappointed.
But please, enough with the "adding to post count" stuff. I guess I can only speak for myself, but that argument is ridiculous. In fact, why don't we just get rid of all of those OAP's and kill whatever number of posts they added. It just doesn't really matter. Or just drop me down to 1. I won't make a fuss since we're getting all serious about it. It's one thing to "joke" about post wars, it's another to actually take them seriously.
And finally, this whole thread is taking on a much more serious tone than it should, so I'll end with a joke. A rabbi, a priest, and a cowboy walk into a bar... the rabbi asks the bartender, hmmmm, I can't remember what the rabbi asks, anyone want to complete the story? []
I was not to bothered witht he post count part, I could care less. I know that those of you who frequent the board respect my opinion and the information that I contribute.
But what happened to good clean and pure "Totaly Off Topic" threads, like porn pics, and posts about "retard buses"?

Yeah, on 3SI.org the Off Topic Forum doesn't add to your post count. So if people having high post counts bothers you then why don't you just make the Off Topic Forum not count towards your total post count.
I think that it is ridiculous that people with high posts are being targeted here. I bet if you looked at every single person who was involved in the OAP's, you could in turn go to just about every post on this forum and find them adding valuable information.
If you don't want us to have fun and get to know each other than just tell us. I think that the whole point of the off topic forum is for us to get away from cars for a bit. So if post count bothers you then why dont you just make the Off Topic Forum not count towards post count! It would actually make my day, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will still be in here shooting the bull with Kloh, Gard, Sav, Mofo, Struan and the others.
Post count means nothing to any of us. If it really means that much to you then that is great. If you want you can have me on 0000 post count forever. I do not care. I have two quotes to end with...

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
This is in no way a knock against you, Milt, so please don't take it that way. BUT, this isn't ClubSi. This board has it's own personality, made up of the people who frequent it. As far as I'm concerned, any topic is fair game in a off-topic forum. If it gets no replies, no one is interested, and the topic will go away. If it gets lots of replies, whether EVERYONE likes it or not, people are interested.
I am not lobbying to get the OAP's back. I'm merely stating the obvious.
I also think the moderators do a great job here, by the way. So, kudos to Chaz, VQ and Gavriil. While I may not totally agree with it, I do respect your decision to kill the OAP's.

Couldn't agree more![thmsup]
I am just not understanding the whole post count worry.
Look, not to further this anymore, but look back at the MOAP guys. It is the SAME 3 or 4 people posting OVER AND OVER in their. So you can't tell me the general consensus loves it and finds it amusing. Also not to bring V into this but he agreed with me as well as did many other members. If some find it annoying and ridiculous, including the moderators and owner of the site, then it is going to go! Can't we all just come to an agreement. I left your MOAP and deleted the others.
