So here is the story: after getting my wisdom teeth out I felt pretty horrible for a few days so I stayed with my folks in Chicago. So Tuesday night I decided I can finally get my act together and drive myself to Madison so I can show up for work on Wednesday. So I’m feeling kind of ok, I’m driving I make it almost to my house and then my radio starts shutting off, my radar starts going ON and OFF, all the lights in my car kind of dimmed. I pull in the lot, park my car outside my house and get out of the car and there is unbelievable noise coming out of the car. So I turn it off go home to rest a little go back out and the car is completely dead. I call my “smart” brother he is kind of like “oh I don’t know go get a new battery” so I call a friend he comes up and in the mean time my brother comes back to his senses and calls me up to say that it is most likely the alternator and I should jump the car and see where the noise is coming from. So we do that after 10 min with the cables the car finally starts all of the sudden sparks start coming out, then I start running back to turn it off when a banging noise appears and something flies off of the car. I completely freaked out. So my co-worker was trying to calm me down and we start looking at the “damage”. The following thing flew out:
And this is what you could see underneath the car:
So apparently my alternator was “stuck” which made some belt loose which made the little thing that the belt rotates around fly out and all of that made my car a “monument” that is going to stay on my lot for the next few months. No one seems to want to fix it right now so I have to find myself another car until it warms up enough to get the G out.
So it has been one hell of a week for me. I can’t wait till the nightmare is over.
Oh and for the next 2 days I’m stuck with asking people to drive me around. Fun fun fun!
P.S this is the car:
it's a 1997 Nissan 200SX SE, and I've had it for about 6 years now and never had any serious problems with it

Awww poor baby. I hope things get better for you soon. That thingy that flew out is a pulley. That's crazy! You guys are lucky that it didn't hit anyone.
Man I thought that happened to your G. Whew. Anyways, don't you have a Audi S4 you drive around?
actually i'm most likely going to be driving the S4 for the next 2 weeks or so. I talked to the boyfriend and since he is on a project in Philly he doenst really need the car. however something is wrong with it as well so as soon as they fix that i will get the car and drive it until the weather is good enought for my baby G.
damn all of you with beater cars! im gonna need to get one next winter i think. there was this bad ass yellow truck down the road from like 82 for 350 bucks
