Hahaha, you guys are lucky. I don't qualify for a ROTH and can't deduct contributions to a Traditional IRA. Not only that I'm getting hit again with a huge AMT this year. Damn gov't sucks. I can't believe how much I pay in taxes each year. I could literally buy another car. Eh, what can I do. I have to contribut my portion to these funds right?
1. Feed the illegals fund
2. Give medical aid to the illegals fund
3. Pay the illegals and jobless (wellfare/food stamps) fund
I'm sure there are other funds out there that I contribute to, but I just haven't been told yet.

TAX REFORM NOW DAMNIT!! FNAMTSUX!!! The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center says the AMT will hit 3.6 million out of the nation's 131 million taxpayers filing for tax year 2005, and could affect 31 million by 2010 if nothing is done. This year only 1.8 percent of married couples with two kids and an adjusted gross income between $75,000 and $100,000 will be subject to AMT. Next year, that number jumps to 73.4 percent.

Yeah, when my tax guy told me this I he had to get my hands off of his throat. Hehe, knee jerk reaction. The AMT to me makes no sense. It's like so if you make a descent living by working hard so the gov't is gonna make you pay extra taxes, just for the hell of it. Makes me wonder why I shouldn't just stand around a Home Depot in my jeans trying to find day jobs.

Damn, you guys seem to be lucky to me. I paid almost $13,000 to federal alone, no state tax in Texas, and I still owe $150. Of course my bonuses did not get taxed so I can live with it I guess. And that's filing a zero on my w-4 so they take out a lot through out the year. Sucks to be single and make decent money. Guess it could be worse, I could make less money. So be it, I'll pay $150 a year to keep them off my ass.
