Dude, Aussies party! Bring your mug and it better be a big one because if you want to bond with the locals, you better show how Americans drink.

And don't be intimidated if they challenge you to a boat race, just do your best and don't spill!

Have fun!!!!!!!

I'm not too worried. I got an "A" in drinking massive quantities in college; however, it has been a few years since I have really pounded them back.

Boat Race?...or do you mean "boot race" in "shooting the boot"?

No, I mean a little 4 on 4 or more. Everybody stands in front of the tabel 4 on 4 facing each other. They all get on their knees, a cup or a pint of beer is placed in front of them and it starts left to right like a relay race. You don't start until the person before you gulps down the beer and puts it on his head or something foolish like that.

Fun stuff. I did this with my cousin, two other Americans, and a Korean serving as the pinch hitter (we were short on Americans on our trip to Europe). We beat Aussies twice in Amsterdam. First time, I cheated slightly cause I was first and I was a little nervous, so some spilled down my shirt. The second time, however, was all us. I hadn't drank like that since college.

Ahhhh... the boat race. This is a coming of age thing with us Koreans. We usually start around 6 and by the time we hit Jr. High we've pretty much mastered it.
