This sucks. I'm usually a pretty healthy person, maybe getting sick once every 2 years or so... but this year has been bad. I came down with the aches, sniffles and cough the day after Christmas, then it turned to a sinus infection and I was sick through all of January. Finally got better in time for a Mexican vacation, but now a week after that, I think I've got bronchitis. Coughing and rattling in my lungs... Must be a combo of bird flu and mad cow.
been sick for the past week....started out with a sore throat...not im coughin and all congested....but that aint gonna keep from from boozin this weekend....
That's what the 'Evil Twin' gets ... mom never loved ya either! j/k!!!
That sounded pretty bad. Hope you get well soon. Getting sick is among the top 10 of my pet peeves. It's both physically and mentally debilitating. I was not lucky enough to escape the wrath of this Holiday season's flu either. Got hit really hard right after Thanksgiving. Even when I did finally manage to shake it, I had a lingering cough that lasted for more than a month.
I am not aware of any known flu that is currently going around. Someone special to me did have me worried very recently by getting buck sick. Silly girl won't go to the Doc's either (grrr!). She's ok now ... I think. Your's definitely not a flu as bronchitis' bacterial, but very nasty indeed. I'm sure the doc gave you some amoxicillin to shut down the dastardly bugs' party in your breathing tube. Eat that bacteria!
A few things that will reduce your risk of getting sick (non flu) are:
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Don't scratch your eyes (I do this way too much).
- Don't pick your nose (*looks around* I also do this way too much)
- Don't put ur figner(s) in your mouth (see #1 if you must).
Don't forget to stock up on the Airborne. I was out drinking Friday and mistakenly took a sip off a beer belonging to the chick sitting next to me....the one that was blowing her nose all night long
Anyway, I started feeling a little scratch in my throat so I started taking the Airborne and I think its keeping the bug at bay.

*note to self*
Never sit next to LarDoggy at the bar.....
yay Airborne. I feel like i'm going to start turning orange from taking that stuff Unfortunately I didn't take it until after I got sick - and I rarely ever get sick ;___; This one totally kicked my ass and hasn't gone away
*passes around my newly opened Puffs Soothing Care (with lotion!) tissue box* Sounds like you guys need some too. Feel better! ^__^ I prescribe you all rest, mindless TV, more rest, mindless TV, and a fuzzy blanket to keep you comfy.
Sx2: you better not be rolling your eyes at me. *looks around for a snowball* no doctors >__________<
