Anyone decent from the UFC/Pride/KOTC would a boxer. It would probably be a somewhat boring fight though cause the smart money would be to take them down and end quickly.
Did you hear about the Hughes vs. Gracie fight? That should be interesting.
Royce is a bit long in the tooth. In a UFC fight I'd have to say Hughes. In a no holds barred fight w/no time limit I'd have to go with Royce.

I don't know. If you took a world class boxer (who had a wrestling) and taught him some ground defense it might be pretty interesting. Chuck is the best light heavyweight in the world and he's predominantly a striker (although he's got a wrestling background).
Again it's a matter of styles. Styles make for interesting fights.
The thing with Chuck is that he's got great takedown defense. Even when he does get taken down he almost always seems to find a way back to his feet quickly and without much damage. With MMA you have to have a variety of skills. You can't just be a striker or a wrestler. Keep in mind Chuck is the best in the UFC, not the world. Rampage absolutely destroyed him a few ago in Pride.
It will either be a super disappointment or a great fight between Gracie and Hughes. Father time may have caught up although Cotour (sp?) is still doing his thing, albeit his boring thing. I wonder if they are gonna do a 3 or 5 round match?
EDIT: Actually I take that back about Cotour. He was doing his thing until he got beat by Liddell at UFC 57. Still a marvel for a man of his age though.
Chuck was a very good wrestler and that's why he's got such a good takedown defense. I'm with you though the SOB just gets out somehow when he gets taken down. With the UFC rules he is the best at that weight, but agree that with differing rules it may favor other fighters at that weight. Still though, I wouldn't bet against Chuck.

Nope, I actually think I got shorter over the years. However, I still bench twice my weight. And people that shit on shorter people fook ya mofos. Have you seen UFC? Matt Hughes is like my hieght and he fooks up fighter over 6" tall. So like Napoleon said, "being tall is handy but Napoleon is great."
yeah i've seen UFC, those guys are beast
bench pressing your own is weight is VERY good. i wish i could do that...

Are you kidding me? You can't bench your own weight. Dude, I'm a dough boy and haven't lifted in 15 years, but give me 3 weeks and I'll be benching over 100% of my weight.

Benchpressing your own weight isn't that big a deal. Most guys in the NFL can bench at least 1.5 times their body weight, and most normal people can get to the point where they benchpress their own body weight if they work out at a gym consistently for a month or two.. depending on their level of natural athletic ability.

That's not what you said. You said bench pressing your weight, not 200% of your weight.
In high school I was really close to 200%, but I really wasn't strong enough and lifting enough to break the 200% barrier. Later, after I put on more weight my limiting factor was my shoulder muscles........I could feel my shoulders not being able to support the weight.....very scary.
Then I started working and just didn't have the time.

you were the one that brought up benching 100% over your own weight.
i could max out over my weight. that's no problem. but i would never be able to do reps with anything over my weight. what exactly are we talking about here? i thought beans was talking about doing reps of his own weight, which IMO, is badass!
now maxing out, it's no big deal, it's a quick rush of adrenaline, just about anyone could pull it off.
