^^^There is the battle, is it about the meat or the sauce? I say why not both. I want slow cooked, tenderized meat and I want a good tasting sauce. I don't mind it on the side, but I like having the option.

I agree with you though on the latter. No Vinegar anywhere.

I prefer the sauce on the side so that more than one sauce option can be provided. Not everyone likes hot & spicy, not everyone likes fruit heavy sauces, etc.

gotta ration out your gluttony my friend.. heavy shit for lunch puts me to sleep. I'm on a new job this week sleeping at my desk is not really conducive to me keeping it. Besides, as I stated before eggplant is tree-meat.

So when I got home, I had about 5 minutes to eat before I head out again. I looked in the fridge and remembered that I bought one of those rotisserie chickens from Albertsons yesterday for $5.99. We didn't eat it yesterday so I grabbed it, got a butcher's knife, cut 1/2 the breast off plus the little leg and thigh; got a little mayo and 1/4 a tomato and slapped the breast and big chunk of tomato between two pieces of sandwich bread plus a little spicy mustard. The leg and anything left that didn't fit in the sandwich I consumed with my hands like a man who hasn't seen solid food in days.

It was good, but I barely tasted it.

Well not going to be for lunch, but for my friend's b-day party tomorrow night I'm going to be grilling up some skewers of beef top round and boneless chicken thigh meat (PITA to clean) seasoned with a rub of EVO and
paprika
onion
garlic
red pepper
black pepper
ginger
clove
allspice
tumeric
cumin

Served along side it will be a sweet & spicy chutney made of
home smoked (hickory and apple) 3 jalapenos/2 anaheim/2 pablano peppers
handful of chopped cilantro
2 red bell peppers
2 yellow bell peppers
3 cans of pineapple tidbits (juice drained off)
2 chopped mangos
honey
lime juice
allspice
brown sugar

And of course I didn't measure, that takes the fun of out cooking.

I swear to god, we don't have much in common politically, but bust out our diverse palettes and we can most certainly eat together. Shit, all this sounds sooooo good.

That's why you don't talk politics while eating, lol! When I tasted the chutney last night right after mixing it up it was delicious, can't wait to try it with the flavors having had time to mix.
