SXSW and ACL are so much fun. at ACL this year, on the last weekend, it was 108 outside and dusty as hell. that didn't stop us though. texas is like it's own country. there's no state in the union like it.

I will give you that. I moved to TX from Singapore. I tell you I honesly had more in common with a middle class singaporean than with the average San Angeloian.... It was trippy.... I felt more foreign there than in years of living in Asia (keep in mind I am a blond white girl, so thats saying alot!)

But you have to admit that the people here are the nicest anywhere. Very hospitable at the least. There's all kinds of stuff that will make you appreciate true Texas. But at least you don't have a lot of bad things to say about it. I can live with that.

Bagel with Cream cheese, and a big ass whopping from my commander. I suppose that two security incidents and a fuck up brief to a four star don't bode well for my leadership.

Shit.

Shit.
You got a spanking on Valentine's Day at lunch from your commanding officer...that is a lot spicier than my lunch, I daresay. Hopefully he didn't say " NOW GET TO WORK, RED!"

Hey, on a positive note...at least you speak well...I have made a sick point of using "that doesn't bode well" in my last four break up emails/notes - yes, one was hand written in pencil even. I've been made fun of by this sick dude I love who reads all of my personal writings and gives me advice because he said where did you pick up that little nasty expression and a couple of others...I asked before but do you read, Irish?
