i like tacos from the ghetto authentic joints, where they give you two soft taco tortilla as the shell and there's onion and celantro on top of the steak.

asada = bbq'd. But not in the American bbq'd sense with bbq sauce. It just means that it's cooked over a grill.

imagine an open faced turkey sandwich, but Mexican style.

The sope is like a 1/4" thick corn tortilla. They put refried beans on top and spread it. Then follows the meat (either pork, steak, chicken etc), plus cabbage, grated cheese, avocado, onions and chile (salsa).

The Torta is simply a big Mexican sandwich. I love these things. The bread used is specific, it's like a french roll kind of bread. Cut it in half, with refried beans on one side, insert pork (or whatever meat you want), avocado, sliced onions, tomatoes and it's all good

Damn, I just ate and now I'm hungry.

I have no idea wtf a flauta is. I've heard of it and seen it, but I don't know what it consists of.

Yeah #2, you seem open minded about food, come to the southwest, Sothern Cali preferrably and you'll grub on some good Mexican food out here.
