Some lowlife abuses a young girl repeatedly over the course of years and VT Judge Edward Cashman give him a 60 day sentence w/ life parole. Supposedly the short jail time was the only was to provide 'rehabilitation'. After the public outcry and calls for his resignation, Cashman has now reversed the original sentence to 3-10 years.
I think it depends on the crime and how long it has been going on...willing/unwilling....so many different circumstances...
For purposes of discusson and the poll, we will use the circumstances surrounding this specific case only. Guilty of sexually assaulting [repeatedly raping] a neighbor’s daughter beginning at age 6 for four consecutive years. He was deemed by the Corrections Department as “a low risk to re-offend".
Yea I read about the pedo priest getting killed yesterday. Poetic justice I say. I have no sympathy for pedo fooker. Did you guys hear about that guy from Ferris Beuler's day off movie got arrested for taking pic of little boys? Gross. He looked like a perv.
anyone that hurt lil kids should be put away for life...
Well actually I'd like to disagree with that. There are some evil kids out there that needs their ass beat time to time to knock some sense in to them. I mean not to the point of abuse but some old school discipline.
I've been following the case on The O'Reilly Factor. They should remove the judge and put the perp away for life. That son of a bitch should never walk the streets again.

They all get out, eventually. Ever look in the National Sex-Offender Registry online? I got 6 living within 1 mile of my house!

Unfortunately, you're right...they do all get out. I do check the registry occasionally. Tonight there were 39 sex offenders in my zip code. This is one crime where "an eye for an eye" should be implemented.
