Yea, man! I saw this last week when I was hanging with my bud J.D. I was like pirates in this day and age?! He said they are all over the place. I was like yea, sure stealing software they are. And they we got into a twenty minute dialog on nabing pirates...
Navy, why would they shoot warning shot? Would the Navy actually shoot the ship down...errr shoot the ship drown.....shoot the ship until it sinks? Is that the policy? If so that would be cool. Just shoot some boats that won't stop.

I'm far from an expert in Law of the Sea, but as I understand it they can only "shoot to kill" so to speak in self defense. If they feel the safety of their own crew and the seaworthiness of the ship are in danger. Even with RPGs they ain't doin' shit to a Destroyer. Even if they could, the backlash would be horrendous. We would be the bullies. Besides, as they showed here, it's not necessary. You send 10's of thousands of tons of ship after a dhow, they'll more than likely get the picture. Here you can see the difference in size: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...8FA3SQ80.shtml

Hunt those dumb As down, Navy!
I literally have to brief Piracy to a four star general at least twice a week. Its the biggest security threat in Southeast Aisa. I had a friend who had his boat burned by pirates...forget hook hands though, they have Ak-47's!!
