Man that's a horrible death. Lucky for us we do our walk around, checking the plane's exterior, before we turn the engines on. There was a clip of a sailor that got sucked in to a Harrier engine but survived.

Uuggh, pretty bad. There was another gruesome accident in the news last month too. The county medical examiner established the official cause of death as fragmentation by wood chipper.

This is a real theat on the flight deck of the carrier. There's a pretty well known video of a guy on a flight deck getting sucked into the intake of an A-6 Intruder but luckily he only had minor injuries. The scarier threat are E-2s and C-2s with the two props. THOSE are scary.
