Default questions for the girls or fashion savy

i have a formal event in mid february. a friend of mine is in medical school and they have a formal ball (black tie). i'll be the date for the evening and wanted to get some ideas from you all on tuxedo styles. feel free to chime in on shirts, ties, vests, shoes, anything.

just a few notes, i am white, and 5' 6", and moderatly well built. and no tails!

having not worn a tux since highschool, i thought i'd get some input of what you ladies out there think is hot.

lc is of no use on this subject.

Go for the classic 3 button tux. It fits all shapes. I don't like the bow ties or the corny western things. I like the botton that matches the color of the vest. What color are your eyes? How white are you?

Get a silver vest. Not bright silver but platinum or that blue it's not navy blue but like briter but not gay blue either.

I went to a black tie dinner 8 or 9 months ago. The big thing for the guys then was the standard neck tie (with vest) rather than bow tie. I thought it was a good look (especially since that's what I wore, silver tie and vest )

I agree with ggirl.. and definitely a tie instead of a bow tie. Either a maroon color or a dark (but not too dark) blue would look good.

Do you know what your date will be wearing? You may want to take that into consideration
