The red hair gene is very finnicky. It skips generations, must come from both the father and mothers side and is very rare to have more than one child in the family who gets it unless it is super dominant on both sides. I got more of the hispanic traits in my genes. I actually started off life with very blond hair until it started changing when I was in grade school.

Either that, or there was a mailman involved. No offense to my sister, but I am so very thankful I didn't end up being the read headed step child LOL.
