I'm not terribly in love with what I've seen for the new G35 designs, and I'm not sure I'll be looking in the upper 30's for a new car anyways. It'll either be 20's or 50-60's - something that is fun and cheap to tide me over or something that is fun and exorbitantly expensive (BMW 650, anyone?).
That said, I have to say that I *REALLY* like the look of the new Honda Civic, particularly the Coupe. I've never been a big Honda fan, although I seriously considered a fully-loaded '04 Honda Accord 6MT before I bought the G35. I've looked (online, nothing in person - I'm not buying right now) and am fairly impressed with the Honda Civic SI, although it's a bit overpriced.
Am I nuts for thinking that the new Civic is a nice looking car? I seriously think that Honda has *finally* figured out how to make a car look good and still be stylish in the long-term unlike, say, the Lexus IS300 that I think was best put as "tragically hip".
I'm a long ways from any serious consideration, but can always look.
I love it! Of course I am biased because my previous 2 cars were both Honda Civic SIs. A four banger putting out almost 200hp! DAYUM. If I could afford it I would have the G for the weekends and the new SI as my daily driver.
