Default Best Hot Sauce

Along the lines of Partyman's Ketchup poll, I'm also a big fan of hot sauce (if there's no Jalepeno or home made Chile available). So, I've listed a few that I know about.

I prefer hot sauce on Pizza, Tuna or Turkey sandwiches, leftover Spaghetti, and sometimes on left over Chinese food.

I don't like it on Mexican food. That's when I ask for the jalapenos or the home made salsas, aka chile.

You left 2 of the best sellers off that list of poll options.

I used to work in a supermarket for years... and Texas Peete and Franks hot sauces were always the top sellers in the Boston area.

Actaully.. I don't think I've even heard of most of the ones you mentioned. Maybe it's regional.

You know, I think it is regional. I've never heard of Texas Pete's and vaguely remember Franks hot sauce.

I was so surprised how people in New England never have ranch with their hot wings. When I asked for Ranch instead of blue cheese, they thought I was from another country. Here in the West coast, all you get is ranch with your hot wings, blue cheese only on request.

Try Cholula if you ever see it. It has a tan faux cork on top. You'll love it.

The only hot sauce we ever had in mom's house was Goya hot sauce. I know it's really not hot but we always had goya everything.

i've yet to find a hot sauce that's hot. most of the stuff i've found is just a bunch of vinegar with some pepper sauce added. if any of you know of something that's acutually hot, i'd love to hear about it.

My friend's shabu-shabu restaurant in FV, Ca. has a hot sauce so hot that you have to sign a waiver. I believe it's pure habenero extract. One drop will light up whatever you're eating, anything more than two drops may possibly cause death. (No Joke)

California Shabu Shabu, ask for Drew or Josh, they'll tell you what brand it is.
