Bird feeders and nut trees do not have a chance around these guys. They are a minis, however, they sure are tasty fried or in a gumbo.

My dog steals their acorns and brings them in the house...then he chases them back up the tree...I think they are good for target practice with the BB gun...

You don't even need a BB Gun. You can take them out with a rock, because they usually aren't that scared of humans, so you can get within like 15 feet of them and do your best Nolan Ryan beanball impression.

My late [German] Grandmother loved Liver & Onions and Hasenpfeffer. She would really perk up when we brought a few of the critters home. She could skin a squirrel in about 10 secs.

Usually the brembos save the little fluffs. But...one of them the other day in a snow storm dove as if by suicidal rampage from behind a fire hydrant and straight into my wheel well. I felt bad. I wanted to stop and give his family some money but you know he clearly did it to himself and it isn't like I would swerve into oncoming traffic for anything much smaller than a huge domesticated bear.
