You don't even need a BB Gun. You can take them out with a rock, because they usually aren't that scared of humans, so you can get within like 15 feet of them and do your best Nolan Ryan beanball impression.

My late [German] Grandmother loved Liver & Onions and Hasenpfeffer. She would really perk up when we brought a few of the critters home. She could skin a squirrel in about 10 secs.

'cause you really didn't know, did ya? And, get this, naturalists have discovered an alarming behavior among certain squirrels. A male squirrel will invade the tree of an enemy squirrel and bite off the nuts of the young in the nest.

Usually the brembos save the little fluffs. But...one of them the other day in a snow storm dove as if by suicidal rampage from behind a fire hydrant and straight into my wheel well. I felt bad. I wanted to stop and give his family some money but you know he clearly did it to himself and it isn't like I would swerve into oncoming traffic for anything much smaller than a huge domesticated bear.
