back to the topic: All our home theater stuff is way old and out of date. If I collected all the remotes around my house, then it would look almost like your picture mr pumpkin eater.
Awwww man ... not again!?!? ^__^v <-- peace sign

You forget Lance does the pumpkin eating around here. :P *points at Lance*

SA 8300HD 160GB DVR and cable box
Panasonic SVHS recorder
Infinity Reference Series front towers
Infinity Studio Monitor center channel (voice coil match with towers)

JBL 8" 3-way rears (ceiling)
Closing in on 500 DVDs

And yes, I like having Infiniti(y) in both garage and house!
How do you like the 3000 es? I have been looking at them, but have an older ES with discrete power rather than digital amp. It sounds spectacular with my Klipsch RF-7s when I play music loud, or watch a movie. (Klipsch RC-7 center as well). I am concerned that the 3000es with the digital amp may not sound as good.

Going waaay back to earlier in the thread...

partyman, the theater was an addition to the house, so it is attached.

g35_83, if it makes you feel any better, my first attempts at HT were quite modest as well (Regular old TV set, cheap-ass receivers and bookshelf speakers). Definitely need to start somewhere...

gz, I WISH I could have written it off somehow, but in my first dedicated theater (converted 3rd car garage port with 16:9 Pioneer Elite rear projection TV, Pioneer Elite Receiver & DVD player, Polk and Boston Acoustic speakers), I did take advantage of some business contacts and got some pricing help from Pioneer (who was a client of the agency I worked for).

clint, good thing you canceled your ticket. It would have probably been spotted as a fake at the door anyways.

and damn you bean @ shadyness. :squint:

If you use your system for presentations for clients you should most certainly be able to get something worked out as far as a deduction. [shakes head]

You think I haven't already thought of that angle?!? I rarely do freelance work any more. And when I do, meetings most certainly never take place at my home.

Same thing buddy. China is going to swoop down and repatriate you folks sooner or later.

Just like the Korean contingent is going to be all Korean pretty soon too.
