Shit...I don't think I crawled out of bed on Sunday 'til around 1:30 ish.
It was a last minute thing, but I booked a trip for my girlfriend and I to San Francisco. We flew there and stayed at the Hotel Nikko (one of my favorites in SF) for a 3 day weekend. Some shopping, spent time at the spa, good eats, people watching (all over the world, every city has it's own sort of weird people, but everytime I go to SF, I always think that SF has the weirdest people, although I haven't toured NYC yet) and on New Year's eve we went bar hopping with her sister and her sister's boyfriend.
I proposed on New Year's Day and she said yes.
I was going to propose on New Year's eve, but we were at an Irish pub on the final countdown and it was just not the right setting for it. I tried to do it in front of the Xmas tree that they have in their square, but the cops didn't let me in even though I begged and pleaded with them. Instead, we just bar hopped some more and I postponed my proposal until we were ready to leave and still had the room with a view to ourselves. Did the whole one knee thing and said something I had been rehearsing the day before.
