Welcome back lil smokie...so where did you visit in NC? I flew out of Charlotte on Tuesday and Saturday of last week, connecting flights. Us South and North Carolinians are some friendly folk...we open doors for strangers and say hello to everyone...we also start casual converstions where ever we go...just a southern thang I guess...

I like that you say folk. That's cute. But the friendliness is a little disturbing when you aren't used to it.

The first time my wife (from Philly) visited me (near Pittsburgh) we went for a walk in the mountains. We'd pass people and they'd say hi. She was like do you know them. I'd be like no. Then she'd ask why they were saying hi to us. Kind of blew her mind.

The friendliness is actually a good thing when you're in a bad mood or depressed...b/c it will take your mind off of your problems...
