Default Album Reviews/Misc. Music stuff

With the holiday season approaching I thought it might be cool to start a review on CD's people might be getting to save the worth it buys from the less than stellar.

Notorious BIG- The Duets

I've always been a fan of Biggie so I picked this album up yesterday. While it definitely isn't the greatest of his albums I wasn't expecting it to be. The beats are good and although his rapping is limited in certain songs it's good enough that I didn't have to skip through any songs. For me the sign of a good CD is when I don't skip songs midway through because they are mediocre and want to hear the next one on the first listen. On top of that I picked it up on sale at target for less than $10 which also came with another CD that had a couple singles on it. Well worth it IMO.

I like them both. The delivery of Pac and Big just have something about them.

I just picked up Van Halen's The Best of Both Wolds which is a double CD. The only real reason I picked it up was because I've had the song, "Hot for Teacher" in the back of my mind for days, so I said what the hell and picked it up to see what else I might like on it. I guess I'm not that big of a Van Halen fan because I skip through most of the songs, but it's a good pickup if you aren't a die hard fan and just want to buy most of their hits without buying all their albums.

I heard that Notorious BIG - The Duets has more of everyone else and just a little bit of biggie? Is that true?

P.S. JL, your avatar went from trippy to flat out bizarre. Keep it though, it's just strange for obviously a different character.

That video blew my mind when it came out. The chick in the blue string-bikini will always be one of the hottest women ever in my mind.

This is true. I wish I could find some pictures of my friend. We used to call him lil pac. Didn't look enough like him for me but there was a resemblance

I haven't picked up any new albums lately. I don't even know what's out

Some songs are dominated by other artists while others are strictly BIG. Heck some are just remixed versions of old songs. It's got enough of him flowing to make it an album worth picking up. Most of the beats are his style and retain the feel he had.

I thought my new avatar was bizarre as well which is why I chose it. I'm into the obscure and just plain weird stuff. This is just a picture of some dude but he looks downright kooky especially in the bigger more detailed version. This ones only temporary as the one I want is on a sight that my membership is in pending status. I'll post in the avatar thread when I get access.

She (German girl I believe) was on Howard Stern last year. She wouldn't shutup, so they kicked her out of the show. Then moments later, they found out that she was the one who was on that video, so they brought her back in and Howard started paying her respect. Artie said that he used to fantasize about her all the time, then she began yapping again and wouldn't shutup, so then Howard and Artie just starting singing Hot For Teacher and ignored her.

The picture is of the "750 Pound Man". I saw a documentary on the Discovery or Learning Channel about him. They had to cut a hole in the side of his house and use a sling designed for moving dolphins and killer whales to get him out. All he could do was lay on a bed on his stomach like Jabba the Hut.

He did have a wife who pretty much attended to everything, though she was FAAAR from being a Princess Leia. More like a Gamorrean:
