Default Walk the Line

Saw this last night. Really good movie that impressed the hell out of me. I like Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon as actors, but wow, really good performances out of both of them. And to my surprise, both of them did sing for this movie.

Also, I went to watch the movie not because I was a Johnny Cash fan, I saw it because I was curious. Curious about his life, his music, and his ever lasting style. Pretty cool guy. I've always like the rogues and rebels in life, so I certainly respected him from what I heard about him before going into this movie and even more so now. His music wasn't that bad either and I'm not a country-western fan. But his music, wasn't exactly mainstream country western either.

Good movie to go see whether you like the genre of music or not, or if you are a fan of Cash or not.

I'm a big Johnny Cash fan. I just haven't been able to find the time yet to go see the movie. Hopefully after the holidays if it's still in the theaters.

What does one have to do with the other? No, I didn't bother with regards to your latter question.

How do you think of Johnny Cash and then mention the Dukes of Hazzard in the same sentence? I'm trying to find the logic in this.

I would watch Dukes of Hazzard on cable if only Jessica Simpson got naked. If not, then what a waste of time.

Uhhh Johnny Cash died in 2003.

There's a Johnny Knoxville. There is a legend in that DoHazzard movie called Willie Nelson, but they are far different characters altogether.

Very good movie, and the singing was incredible, I had no idea Phoenix could sing like that! It's questionable that Johnny was really country, as in the movie, you see he was billed with the likes of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis and others on most of those early tours. Johnny Cash's music is great, his life was sad at times, too bad what drugs can do to a person, he was lucky he hooked up with June Carter. I didn't appreciate his music until later, Ring of Fire kicked butt though IMO!

I agree! It's a great movie, and should win plenty of awards. I thought it was better than Ray. Look how many awards that won!

You know what, as a whole, I thought this movie was better than Ray too. Jamie Foxx did a very good job though, so I can't say who's performance was better, but as a whole, I'd probably go with Walk the Line.
