Actually Portuguese as the movie takes place in Rio de Janiero. I may be mistaken, but I wanna say that the movie is based on actual events. If you watch it, check out the documentary about life in the favelas (ghettos) in Rio...its fascinating shit.

As for Syrianna, I can see how some people might see it as propoganda.....BUT....what if the events depicted in the movie are not that far from the truth? Just imagine this is the case (I'm not saying the movie is based on actual events, I'm just saying for arguments sake, pretend it is).......if so, wou this the kind of insight you'd want to have about your government or not?

Tomorrow I'll post my comments about the port situation and sub-contracting to the UAE. I don't believe it.

You're probably right about the language Doggy. I thought it might have been something else but couldn't remember.

I am very curious to hear you comments about subcontracting to the UAE too Gamma.
