I've made it out of Nigeria, and am now in the MidEast paradise of Dubai. What a relief, this city is much more condusive to visiting than Nigeria by a long shot.
I've already visited the Mall of the Emirates, which has a indoor arcade with 5 amusement rides and an indoor 400m ski slope and snow recreation area - along with your mandatory 300 upscale shops. Really cool place, I'll post pictures when I get home.
Got to see an M6. Holy crap, that is one seriously beautiful car. There is someone staying at my hotel who owns one, so it's out front every day.
I took a few pictures, probably 50-100 or so, while I was in Dubai. I've been there 4 times now, so while it's still a cool place I've seen much of it before. It has changed a LOT since I was there in '04, and I got pics of a few things to show how fast the city is growing.
I visited another mall the second day I was there - it has 5 sections, each done in the style of a different culture. I didn't get a lot of pics of it, but got a few to give an idea of what it looked like.
I'm back in the US now, landed last night. Managed to sleep until 530am local time - a miracle, that's 3:30pm in Dubai. I was completely wasted.
