The Baja Blast? That is some good sheet and you can only get it at TB, but too much caffeine for my blood. Hey, we compete in the FAST food segment, not fine dining. If I want authentic Mexican food, I'll go to hole in the wall in Santa Ana. If I want good "Mexican-inspired" food at a good price, I'll go to Taco Bell

HHHmmmm.........arrogance, yet with a touch of elegance at times..........I'm thinking Cuban, but since we don't get too many Cubans down here I'm not positive.

I've got one rule when it comes to Taco Bell- only eat when you are drunk.

Anyone have a Del Taco?

There's a Del Taco a block away from my house jl. It's not the greatest either but I'll take Del Taco over Taco Bell any day.

I know this young man hates on everything, but does it ever end?

I could go into detail about how he's never tried any good Mexican food. I could show him countless places between here and Oaxaca of the different cuisines that are offered and he would refute me with rolled eys. So should I bother?

What the hell . . .

One day when Smoke comes out west, I suggest we show him the delight of good Mexican food. I am a big officianado of Cuban food and I even had Thanksgiving Turkey ala Cubana with lots of white rice, black beans, and plantains. MMM good. Personally arroz con pollo is one of my favorite dishes. But Smoke, if you don't like Mexican food, how can you even like Cuban food? The ingredients are so similar. Hexxx, we should take him to King Taco to start.

Ohh, to stay on the hijacked topic. Taco Hell is a college eatery, along with 25 cent Tuesday hamburger night at McDonald's. The one thing I'll eat from there is there double decker taco supereme. That shit is good.

Ohh and Del Taco. There's one right up the block from my house and my work. I get a 79 cent bean+cheese burrito at least once a week for breakfast. Moreover, they're one of the few fast food chains with a drive thru open 24/7. They're fish tacos aren't too bad either.

Speaking of tacos, I'm a Jack in the Box 2 for 99cent taco junkie. You guys don't have that out east, but damn, those greased up hard taco soybean whith hot sauce, lettuce, cheese are so freakin' good.

What are you talkin' about. Menudo is one of the greatest hangover stews ever created. So what if it's tripe.

I hope smoke does come out to Cali one of these days so that we could educate him gamma. He definitely has no clue what he is talking about. King Taco would just be the first stop of many. He would eat so good he wouldn't know what hit him! But you are right. He probably would still come on here and say it was all crap. Oh well.

BTW, JITB 99 cent tacos rule!!!!!

The food is obviously not "High Quality Authentic Mexican Food", but it is cheap and fills you up.
Fills you up? The last time I made the mistake of eating there I ended up being anything other than filled. I swear I was hungrier 30 minutes later than before I ate.

Jack in the Box's Qdoba chain is pretty good for fast mexican, especially with their t-shirt Tuesday free entre deal.

One very good think about Tysons being here and drawing such a large hispanic work force is the number of authentic mexican restaurants in the area.

I've heard about the Latino migration to a lot of Southern States. Enjoy.

One tip just in case you decide to be a daredevil and try the hot chile (not the chile beans chile, but the hot salsas - we call them chile). If you get burnt and your tongue starts to burn, use salt and apply to the burnt areas of your tongue. It'll burn for a split second, but then it will go away immediately.

Ohh, and stay away from the jalapenos or the extemely hot chile at 3 am or else you will be grabbing your ankles in misery the next time you doodie. Not kiddin'.
