I let my stock pilots get prety bare before I replaced them. They scared the crap out of me in the rain on the highway. I could feel the back end slipping and sliding all over the place. I will never let that happen again! I suggest you get new tires before it rains again!

OK, then, how many miles should we expect to get out of them (under normal, non track time, non Roneski driving conditions)? I've got 18,000 on mine but the tread doesn't look too bad...I was thinking 20K?

The way I think about it, anything beyond 15k miles for an maximum performance tire is icing on the cake.

If you visit the Tire Rack site you can determine the starting tread depth of the tire and the point at which it's considered bald. It's just an algebra problem after that.

I have 23k on my G and my tires have 50% of the tread left...but I also rotate them almost every oil change...
