Supply estimates if accurate will dictate you wait till then to get one. Most places are expecting to fullfil the last of their preorders in the january-febuary time frame.

hahah my friends bought them.. waited in line for 18 hours.. they didnt buy em for themselves but wanted to make a profit.
so they're selling them.
but basically one guy sold his for 10600$$... its pretty amazing i kinda regret not standing in line with them...[but i did hangout with them and laugh at people. now whos laughing >.<]
but seems the average price is about 900-1200 dollars on ebay..
rumors say the next shipment of xbox's will come in february....

Rumors have the PS3 ship date anywhere from Q1 06 to Q4 06, so pretty much noone really knows. Personally I lean more towards mid/late 2006.

I don't know about the PS3 launch. From what I've been reading the release of Xbox360 ealier than PS3 took many of the comsumers away from PS3. Oh well, I don't really care. I'll wait until the prices go down. I really want to get a PS3 but if the Xbox360 lowers their price on PS3's launch I'm getting a Xbox.

Just like with cars, it's never a good idea to by a new gaming system until they work the bugs out. I'll wait a little bit until they work out the problems and the prices come down a little bit and then I will look into it.

That's what happened to my PS2 when I bought it. It had tons of problems and I had to return it for warranty 3 times. After that I'll let them work out the bugs before I buy another console.
