Without a doubt, TO and Randy Moss are two of the best, if not the best, WRs in the NFL. They are both cancers in the clubhouse but perform like no others on the field. If you had to take one of them, who would you take and why?
Depends on the situation. Randy has reportedly matured considerably over the last couple of years.
I think that TO is much more of a fiery competitor, so much so that he just can't handle losing.
In my opinion TO is physically more dominant. You can't just jam him at the line all day like Randy. I think that when Randy gets loose he is more dangerous than anyone else though. Randy also definitely has better hands.
If I had a strong QB, coach and surrounding cast and I was looking for a receiver to win it all with this year I'd have to take TO. He would simply be easier on my salary cap right now.
If I had a mediocre team and I needed a star to build with it would be Randy.

Without a doubt, Moss is more physically talented than Owens. Moss is faster, taller, and has better jumping ability. I also think Moss has better hands(Owens will drop some easy ones from time to time).
Owens is obviously more physical in terms of bulleying db's around... and although he is elusive, he will never posess the caliber of pure speed that Moss has.
One thing I don't like about Moss, is that he tends to have an attitude of spiteful whinneyness... in which he sobs and can take himself out of games or not block or run hard on plays that don't go to him(Lazy? or maybe he just is pissed that the ball isn't coming to him). Owens is more fiery and seems to be better at taking that same elements that Moss sobs about, and turning into fire on the field.... although he will certainly be very vocal about letting everyone know that he is pissed in the process.
I'm not sure who I'd rather have on my team. I think Owens would be better on a team that had no other weapons(other wr's suck)... whereas Moss would be better on a team that had a fluidly designed offense.
Owens can be very disruptive to his team(Hmm.. huge fights with his QB on S.F and coaching staff on both S.F and Philly? not just a coincidence... the guy has a problem with authority). Moss has definitely toned it down for the most part(but I must admit that I was utterly shocked when he walked off the field at the end of that Vikes game last year with like 2 minutes left and a distinct possibility that his teams offense might get to take the field again and go for a game-winning drive).

From a talent perspective, you can't go wrong with either. They different talents, though, which should be considered given the situation you're looking to put them in.
For me, I would take RM simply because I believe he's likely to be LESS disruptive to his team...not that he might not be disruptive, just that I would expect his disruptions (IMHO) to have less of an impact on his team more than do TO's.

TO is the man...RM is nice as hell too, but TO just has more experience than Randy! Oh yea, plus he's gone to the superbowl Randy might be faster, but TO is fast as shit. I wouldn't be concerned too much speedwise, more about who handles the pressure better and I think TO will do a better job calming himself down. I think that pretty much wraps it up...lol
they both have plenty of baggage, and when I saw Randy Moss walk off the field as a Viking with whatever time was left, I thought I'd never support him as a receiver. then we signed him up as a receiver and I'm glad he's on board.
TO is stronger, doesn't mind getting hit in the middle and is a playmaker. Randy Moss is faster, and one of the fastest players in the leaguer, I also think he's a smarter player on the field and has better hands.
I know what you're thinking, would I change my tune if we would of gotten TO instead of Randy Moss? No. My heroes will always be Fred Biletnikoff, Calvin Branch, Tim Brown and Jerry Rice. Their work ethic and commitment to the game was exemplary. I think Randy Moss has done admirably this season and even though he may not think highly of the coach (join the club) he has kept his attitude in check and is still a key ingredient of the ball club. He can only improve even more so after this point.
Talent wise, I'd go with TO. He's just a bigger player and can do some things physically that Moss can't.
Unfortunately as bad as Moss has been in the past, I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as TO is currently. Therefore since I don't think Moss' off field antics will destroy his team as TO's will, I go with Moss the lesser of two evils.
