they played well asshole.
i feel bad for mcmahon... he had an amazing effort considering his experience, etc. he is a great athlete. not many quarterbacks playing today have the quick thought and quick moves like he does. i wouldnt mind watching him grow and get rid of Mcnabb. don't get me wrong.. mcnabb WAS great... i just can't see that pu$$y rebounding after this and the surgery. he's such a momma's boy pun intended) i think we've seen his best.
mcmahon on the other hand... i think can grow a lot.

Giants got lucky (10 points lucky) but did play a great game...

Mcmahon vs Mcnabb?

I hope you're joking! hahaha.

I'd like to have Mcmahon as my backup, but he doesn't posess much of what I'd want in a starting quarterback for every week.

msb is just losing his mind because the Eagles are pretty much out of the playoff race. NO ONE in their right mind would take Mike McMahon over a healthy Donovan McNabb.

true. i have lost my mind. but i am tired of people letting mcnabb hide behind that injury. he just plain old sucked. i think we've seen his best years. it's down hill from here.
but mcmahon has more potential is what i am saying. he is also much more athletic. especially after mcnabbs injury and the upcoming surgery... he will never move like he used to...

Gotta agree with MSB, McNabbs career has already peaked, and its only because he had TO last year. As long as McNabb has been playing he should be able to call run the offense more efficeintly and with confidence. When ever we need him to drive us down the field for a last minute score, I have no confidence in him. He should be able to call audibles to change the plays accordingly, but it doesnt appear that McNabb can read defenses at all and usually stick with the play that is called into him. (watch the shuffle pass!!!)

It's still too early to determine if McMahon could be a quality starter after just 1 game with the birds, but at least he makes the game more watchable as compared to a crimple McNabb.

all very true.
also like you said... so many games this year, when we needed a score i had no confidence in mcnabb getting down the field. i mean even the San Diego game... i KNEW he would not make it down the field in the end. that blocked FG was what we needed to win -- the only way we would have won.
McMahon on the other hand.. i have confidence in him (as he does in himself) i know its been short.. but he IS a leader type.
mcnabb... well he's a pu$$y. he "pretends" to be a fighter... but whatever...
i still love mcnabb tho... just sour about a lot of the decisions he made this year (on and off the field) bad decsions for himself AND the team.

The truth is McNabb is getting his surgery now because they have basically conceded the season. Essentially they are just making sure he will be back for next season in time.

He should've gotten his surgery back in week 2 where the birds could still salvage the season, but instead, his greedy ass had to try and prove that he is fighter and failed miserably.

msb you must really be losing your mind! Did you say that you have confidence in McMahon? You determined he is a leader type from 1 game? There is a reason why he was #3 on the depth chart before McNabb went out. Don't forget that McMahon was given the job in Detroit and had every opportunity to succeed and make his mark with the Lions and failed miserably. I'm not saying that he hasn't matured and can't be a quality starter in the NFL but to say you would rather have him over McMahon is ridiculous. McNabb is a Pro Bowl QB and I would take a healthy McNabb over most QB's in the league any day.

I don't understand you eagle fans. The Eagles had a chance at week 2 unlike now. Do you really think McMahon has the poise to lead a super bowl team?

Koy Detmer was and still is #2. Andy Reid is just giving McMahon a chance because he is a lot more mobile than Detmer. As soon as McMahon falters, Detmer will be in there.

Eagles still had a chance up until week 9, where we lost to Dallas. McNabb had played poorly all season and should had been pulled prior to week 9. The last time McNabb went down, our 3rd stringer stepped up and went 4-1. I understand that McNabb is a proven QB, but playing him when he has no mobility at all was a complete mistake. McNabb was a perenial ProBowler becuase he was always a threat on the ground. McNabb beat teams with his legs, not his arm.

Nope, I don't think McMahon has the poise to lead the team to the super bowl, and I didn't think Tom Brady was going to lead the Pats to the superbowl either when Bledsoe went down. Just because he wasn't too sucessful early in his career don't mean he can't play. He must be doing something right to play in the NFL.
