http://isohunt.com or http://www.torrentspy.com

isohunt has anything and everything but torrentspy is easier to use if you go through their directory

http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/rom...rrentsites.htm

That site lists the top 500 torrent sites.

Pirate Bay is my site of choice right now.

http://thepiratebay.org/

I use Azureus to manage my torrent downloads. You can just google for Azureus and should find the site to download the program.

Regarding bit torrent in general, am I doing something wrong? It seem soooooooo sloooooowww. I'm getting d/l speeds of <20k/sec. Is there some way to speed it up or know how fast it will d/l from the description?

If every d/l speed is less than 20 that does seem a little strange. How many seeders are there for the files? If there is only one or two then that could explain it.

On the two files I'm downloading now I'm getting speeds of 40-60 and 150-300. But there are 18 and 21 seeders respectively. I read somewhere that it could have something to do with your firewall and how many ports you are using but I'm not really familiar with that. I know that Azureus uses only one port which is supposedly good.

Edit: What speed are people uploading from you?

http://www.monduna.com/bt/faq.html

My friend sent me this link awhile back and it suggests that you cannot tell how fast it will go from the description because of the factors involved.

http://www.monduna.com/bt/faq.html#SPEED

But I personally know nothing because I am afraid to be on the cutting edge with my laptop...which is why you have to send me a mixed cd for xmas...I won't even download music. If I were on the edge though I might be able to get Closer without going to over to Ballbuster, aka Blockf*cker and shelling out the money. And having seen Natalie Portman's a$$ in that striper outfit again last night while setting up something for my recouping mom and lil brother to watch...

I MUST HAVE THAT MOVIE.

Good luck!
