Default Be careful downloading movies

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051102/...ovie_downloads
I personally don't download movies because I like buying the real DVD's, however for those that does download movies just be careful. They seem like they're cracking down. I've been reading other news about people getting busted.

I can see both sides but I think it's kind of messed up. It's not like the movie industry doesn't make a shitload of money.

Oh most definately. I don't really care about people ripping off the movie industry. I personally like it when people 'stick it to the man' and big companies. I just don't want them to get caught. Also, I buy the real DVD's because I'm sort of a movie buff and I like to have the DVD's itself.

I second that.

Maybe if 90 percent of the movies that are released weren't pure shit people wouldn't mind paying for a movie quite so much. How often does a Shawshank Redemption come out? Once, maybe twice a year.

I feel the same way about music and even games. The record companies, radio stations and venues are all controlled by a few jackasses who tell us what we should like. If it weren't for downloading music everybody would be listening to the same ten songs every day.

And computer games are shoved out the door so fast that you end up downloading patches for the next year just to play the game. Civ. 4 is a perfect example. A friend of mine bought it last week and says he can hardly play it because it is so buggy. Spending 50 bucks on a game that I can't even play is not my idea of a worthwhile purchase.

Word my man. If going to the theatre didn't cost an arm and a leg I might go. Anyone check the price of a move ticket nowdays, ridiculous.

It's almost like either they rip us off or we rip them off.

I literally haven't been to a movie theater in years. I wait for them to come out on DVD and rent at Netfilx for 17 bucks a month.

Shit, go to dinner before the movie or plan on it afterwards; save a lot of money that way. If you pay more than $2 for a drink and there's no alcohol in it, somethings wrong.

I've been paying around $8 lately for movie tickets since Malco charges $1.25 processing fee for online purchases, but its worth it to avoid standing in line only to have the movie I want to see sell out before I get to the window.
