Default "Scare the kids" - driving technique

So I was driving down the road for dinner with my sister. As we are passing this residential area with a weird deli plop down in it, there are some kinds by the side of the road. One of them decides it would be could to pretend to jump out in front of a car to make the driver flinch. So he does it to me, I don't flinch, I'd rather run over this 15 year-old fucker (my cynicism). So we pass them, and all of a sudden in my mind a think - we should really scare these kids and so with no other cars around on this 4 lane road I grab the handbrake. I have done this a number of times, so the 180 was perfectly executed with continuous motion and a hard acceleration back to where these kids are watching in disbelief.

They run - *I was hoping they would*

I drive right up to the front of the deli where they ran in, and sat there for 2 mins... I hope they were shiting their tighty whities.

I scared a kid one time really bad. I was in my street clothes and I went into a local stop-n-rob. I was back getting a drink and I looked toward the counter and this kid was pointing what looked kind of like a sawed off shotgun at the clerk. The clerk did not have the normal look of one having a gun pointed at them, I looked closer at the gun and could tell it was a plastic toy shotgun. They had toy guns for sale in the store and this teenager picked one up and was pretending to be robbing the clerk. He did not even notice me until I yell at him to put down the gun. He looked at me and said it was a toy, I told him the 38 in my hand was not. He got real white and started to get real upset, I think he really did shit himself.

HAHAHAHA[lol] Thats bad ass! Another good way to scare people is to just give the hand brake a quick pull(lock the wheels up a little) as you go by them. It's more fun to do it to people that arent looking(joggers or kids on bikes). I know it's mean, but it can be hilarious.

The key to a good 180 is momentum!

I was doing about 50mph at the time, which gave me plenty of room to get the car to the speed I wanted.

I shall be as poetic as I can and say that manuvering a vehicle is like a dance; know your partner helps.

1) grab hand break
2) turn steering wheel
3a) let off handbrake
3b) downshift to 2nd or first (1st for FWD cars) (2nd for RWD cars)
3c) accelerate
4) straighten wheel

With these four easy steps you could kill yourself and destroy other people's property. Or if you are doing the dance and do all of these things simultaneously and perfectly you will have an awesome 180 handbrake turn with acceleration afterwards, so no stupid dead stop.

Any questions class?

In thought about it afterwards, and it would ahev been funnier if I had seen the kid planning on doing it and instead of turning away from him, turned towards him, lol[crazy]

i use to have a 03 altima, and it was automatic, but still i could do 180 all the time-not that i did them all the time-since the handbrake was next to me...BUT now i have the coupe, and it still automatic (yeah i know i should have gotten the 6mt) and the handbrake on tha Auto is a little pedal u have to push with ur feet, so...how the hell can i do a 180 without the handbrake and WITHOUT-most importnant part here-"fucking" up my car.

thanxs alot guys, any comments or help is greatly appreciated

Thats a whole different story...If you do a handbrake with one of those brake levers, you might end up doing a 360 into the mailbox.

Too bad these foot E-brakes aren't like the one on my old 98 SHO...if the car was in gear the brake would automatically disengage, so you could tap it while driving, and the pedal would spring right back when you let off ... this made for lots of fun with that big fairly powerful car!![] Lots of fun off the line smoky burnout action too since it was a fwd auto[bigeyes]
