After reading the ENTP, which is what the course told me that I am, I wholeheartedly agree. Here's the description, which really matches my personality.

"Clever" is the word that perhaps describes ENTPs best. The professor who juggles half a dozen ideas for research papers and grant proposals in his mind while giving a highly entertaining lecture on an abstruse subject is a classic example of the type. So is the stand-up comedian whose lampoons are not only funny, but incisively accurate.

ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport.

ENTPs are as innovative and ingenious at problem-solving as they are at verbal gymnastics; on occasion, however, they manage to outsmart themselves. This can take the form of getting found out at "sharp practice"--ENTPs have been known to cut corners without regard to the rules if it's expedient -- or simply in the collapse of an over-ambitious juggling act. Both at work and at home, ENTPs are very fond of "toys"--physical or intellectual, the more sophisticated the better. They tend to tire of these quickly, however, and move on to new ones.

ENTPs are basically optimists, but in spite of this (perhaps because of it?), they tend to become extremely petulant about small setbacks and inconveniences. (Major setbacks they tend to regard as challenges, and tackle with determin- ation.) ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. However, they do tend to be extremely genial, if not charming, when not being harassed by life in general.

In terms of their relationships with others, ENTPs are capable of bonding very closely and, initially, suddenly, with their loved ones. Some appear to be deceptively offhand with their nearest and dearest; others are so demonstrative that they succeed in shocking co-workers who've only seen their professional side. ENTPs are also good at acquiring friends who are as clever and entertaining as they are. Aside from those two areas, ENTPs tend to be oblivious of the rest of humanity, except as an audience -- good, bad, or potential.

Some Famous ENTPs:
Alexander the Great
Confederate General J. E. B. Stuart
Sir Walter Raleigh

INTJ here, too.

Your Type is
INTJ

Strength of the preferences %

I've taken this test before, several times actually over the last few years. I am always INT, but the J sometimes switches for P. It all depends on my mood, the current stress level, a variety of other things.

I agree more with the views of INTP, but I gather in a black-and-white world of "yes" or "no", I'd be more judging and perceiving.

Hex, you have a 1% rating in Sensing *and* Thinking. I'd not be surprised if you didn't match ISTP very well, you're right on the cusp of Sensing/Intuition and Thinking/Feeling. It might be good to read the ISTP, INFP and INTP to see what aspects you have from these if you're interested.

Kal.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go back and read what these mean. I just took the test and posted my rating but I didn't read what the rating was or meant.

Kal, can you explain the percentages? After a long weekend of partying in Vegas, my brain is fried right now!

ESFJ
Extroverted Sensing Feeling Judging
89 1 38 11

You are:
very expressed extrovert

slightly expressed sensing personality

moderately expressed feeling personality

slightly expressed judging personality

first time i took this test i scored 100% extroverted..thought that was weird and took it again....i think the only thing to change was the extroverted dropped 11 points.

i still don't think i agree with what it says about me. i'll take it again tomarrow.

Each question shows a leaning towards one aspect or the other in each of the four categories.

"Do you feel comfortable in large groups?" Y/N
Yes, and you get some points towards Extroversion, No and you get points towards Introversion. By the by, I'm gathering that not all the questions are equally weighted.

To risk oversimplification, the percentage is the basically the leaning of the total number of points toward each type. If you show 25% Introverted, your answers were 25% more in favor of Introversion - or slightly Introverted. A higher percentage means that the particular realm fits you better; a lower means that you have more aspects that cover both sides of that aspect.

I'm 75% Intuitive, which means I probably match the description for that aspect rather closely, but the 22% Judging means I have a fair amount of Perceiving as well. (In my case, my mood plays heavily into my Perceiving level.)

Edit: BTW, thanks for the heads up, GZire!

Thanks for explaining that Kal! I understand it a little bit better now. If it's not too much trouble, can you break down my percentages? No rush though. When you get a chance! Thanks!

I didn't care for some of the questions, for it was all yes or no.

Overall, I think this is bullshit, I mean, how the fuck do they know Alexander the Great is an ENTP? Because some guy just read his mind and said, ohh, he would answer this way? Because of history? Which one?

Bullshit. I hate it when a machine or anybody tells me who I am or who I am supposed to be like. It takes the element of surprise out of the picture. That's what makes us human.

Many times I could of said both to various questions. Nevertheless, here are my results:

Your Type is
ENTP
Extroverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving
Strength of the preferences %
56 38 12 56

ENTP type description by D.Keirsey
ENTP type description by J. Butt and M.M. Heiss

Qualitative analysis of your type formula

You are:
moderately expressed extrovert

moderately expressed intuitive personality

slightly expressed thinking personality

moderately expressed perceiving personality
